My sweet baby.

Here are some recent pictures of Layton. On this particular day the weather was very humid and hot. She was not really happy with the idea of getting her picture made. She did cooperate for about 10 minutes, then she was done. Of course on the way home, she was giggling and smiling.

Layton 10 Months

My sweet Lay Lay is 10 months old.

*She continues to be a mama's girl, secretly I don't mind because I know there will probably be a day when she doesn't want to stay on my hip!

*She still has NO TEETH. This is a first for me, I have personally never seen a baby this old toothless! She really doesn't like for us to feed her, she prefers being able to feed herself. We have started cooking some veggies for the garden and she loves them.

*She loves interacting with others.

*She loves the pool and doesn't mind getting splashed.

*She has two new tricks this month. She can make an Indian sound with her hand over her mouth but she does it with the back of her hand. She also has started making a funny sound with her tongue, Lydia is taking credit for this trick.

*She has started waking at least once a night, she rarely sleeps all night. Booooo!

Yesterday we went boating with my brother-in-law's family. It was the first time I have been in a boat in years and Lydia's first time in a ski boat. We had a blast. After Lulu and Ali tubed, it was time for Dave and Lydia to get in on the action. I even had to see if I could still do it. Surprisingly I am not too sore today!

We heart the pool!

We have welcomed the summer time at our house. Lydia and Dave have been in the pool everyday. If I'd let Lydia eat in it and bring a tv out for Dave they would be in it more than they already are! I have enjoyed some Saturday and Sunday afternoons out there as well. Layton has enjoyed it too. She just floats around in her float. She doesn't mind getting splashed in the face, she laughs at Lydia and Daddy playing around and every once in a while she ducks down and gets her a drink.

I'm a little pony!

A couple of weeks ago we brought down some of Lydia's old toys. One of the toys was Mr. Pony! Lydia has rode many miles on him! He sings and make lots of noise. Dave and I know his song by heart. Nannie and Langraddy gave it to Lydia her first Christmas. I hope he's had a good rest. Layton rides him a little everyday!

Sisters

I have been waiting now for 9 months and it has finally happened. Last night Layton woke up at 12:30, she was crying very loud which is not real common for her. I went in there to get her and Lydia was balled up in the corner of her crib sound asleep. I think it confused Layton, maybe that's why she was crying so loud. Once I picked her up she just kept looking at Lydia. I had to go get Dave to get Lydia out. When I was pregnant Lydia would say she and her sister were going to sleep together. I told her that she wouldn't be able to sleep with her until Layton was older, because she might hurt her. This morning when I woke Lydia up I asked her why she got in Layton's crib she said she just missed her!
