Happy 6th Birthday Lay Lay

This sweet girl turned 6 last week. My my how the time passes quickly. She is so full of life. I just love her personality. She is tough & strong willed. She is the type of person, that you can't help but fall in love with. She is very affectionate and loves to be silly and have fun. She constantly has a smile on her face and loves to play tricks on you! You never know what will come out of her mouth. She talks non stop and is always on the go. She loves to dance & sing. She loves any type of animal. She loves to play outside. She loves to help me do anything around the house, clean, cook, yardwork. Her daddy is her hero and she loves spending every minute with him. She always expresses her opinion. She loves to play games and hates to lose. She loves to cuddle with me. She loves anything sweet.

I  love every second I'm with her, even the exhausting ones! I feel so blessed to be her mama. We love you very much silly girl!

If the weather is nice out, she wants to be outside. She loves to ride her bike.

Silly Layton!

Here she is helping me clean! I have no idea why she didn't have any clothes on...

Her favorite sport is soccer!

She is the definition of a DADDY'S GIRL! She LOVES her daddy. He can do no wrong in her eyes. No matter what he's doing, she wants to be with him.

She loves her Reece! Every time she walks by our animals, she touches them, talks to them, sings to them...

I have no idea how she managed to do this without taking her seatbelt off but she did! She was proud!

BIG smiles, always

We had a birthday party for her at the house. She had several friends over to swim & play. 3 girls stayed for a slumber party after the party.

Watch out Kindergarten and 5th grade...WHOA!

Lydia started the 5th grade this year - WHOA! Layton started Kindergarten - DOUBLE WHOA! This is the only year they will be in the same school together. Layton has been SOOOOOOOO excited to start. I was so nervous about her having to be quite and still at the same time! I am happy to report that after her first full week of school, she was able to get a prize from the treasure box for excellent behavior EVERY day! Go Layton! Lydia is so happy about her teachers this year. She has been asked to be a part of the Kids Team. It was an honor that she was asked to join, only well-behaved students are choosen. She will assist with certain activities in the school and she will work in the library one day a week. She is so excited about this privilage. I am so proud her. Way to go, Lydia!

The Friday before school started, I took off so that the girls and I could spend some time together and what better way to spend girl time than getting pampered?!

First Day of School!

They are catching up to me! Lydia reminds me all the time that she is almost as tall as I am!

I pray that Lydia has a wonderful 5th grade year. It's a big year...school dances, a little more independence, last year in elemetary school. Good Luck, sweet girl!

It's still crazy to think my baby is in school now! She has gone one full week and loves every minute of it. She has specific chores she does every day and I think that is what is keeping her out of trouble! She has made lots of new friends & tells us all kind of funny stories every afternoon. By the talks of the teachers and staff, everyone just loves her to pieces! I am so excited for her to experience something new. I can't wait to see her successes this year.

Layton with her teacher, Miss Chasity. She was just a tiny bit excited! haha!

Summer 2015

These pictures are from my birthday! For my birthday, I wanted to do something a little different....A week or so before my birthday, the new Bass Pro opened dowtown. So, for my birthday we went and had a great meal & went to the new Bass Pro. We aren't really a "Bass Pro" family BUT it is in the Memphis Pyramid so I thought it would be cool to see the inside. It was really neat inside. There were lots of cool fish and other things to look at. It also has an elevator that you can ride to the top and get out on an observation deck, REALLY COOL!

I'm so thankful to have been able to celebrate another birthday with my crew!!

One weekend this summer the girls did a lemonade stand in front of the flower shop. they gave half the proceeds to our buddy, Tripp Turner who is fighting leukemia right now. We made lots of money and the girls had a wonderful time. They have been wanting to do one for a long time.

Cutest Lemonade Stand I seen all summer!!!! :)

We welcomed a new cousin to the family this summer too, baby Rain. The girls and I got to hold her until our hearts were content. Poor Layton was jealous of me holding the baby. After I held her for a few mintues, she told me that I could give her back to her mama!!!

We had a sleepover with Jaxson! He came over one Friday night and spent the night with us. They had the best time. We loved having him over!

Proof that they enjoyed each other!

The girls went frog-hunting with some friends one night. Layton loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT! Lydia was just along for the ride!!! I think they caught about 5.

We had a great summer. Dave was hurt with a cracked shoulder, so he was able to be home with them every day. They went to the free movies every Tuesday in Atoka, enjoyed spending time with cousins, swam almost every day & just enjoyed being home with DADDY! We have said many times, that him getting hurt was sort of a blessing in disguise. Yes, he was in a little pain but he was able to spend EVERY day with the girls and they were able to hang out and have fun. I am thankful for that. And now he is home alone everyday, about to go stir crazy!!!! :)

Vacay 2015

Our vacation this summer was in Destin! It was our first big trip in out new RV! We bought an RV back in April. Dave had been wanting to upsize for a while and we were just running out of room in our old one. With the new one, we can bring friends with us now and my husband can fit in it comfortably! So, we headed out on a Friday night, in plans of just driving until we got tired. Apparantly, people that travel with RVs can sleep in WM parking lots. Sounds kind of creepy to me but that's exactly what we did! :/ We made it about half way until Dave just couldn't drive anymore. the girls went to sleep abuot 10 that night. We stopped about 1am, slept and got back on the road about 8am. The girls woke up about 9am and thought we had driven all night! A RV is DEFINITELY the way to travel. We never heard "are we there yet", "stop touching me", "I'm hot", "I'm bored"...... :)

We stayed at Camp Gulf in Destin, FL. It was SO SO SO nice. We had a great week on the beach, minus the part where Dave and Layton were racing on an obstacle course in the pool...he fell and cracked his shoulder. :( He's enjoyed a nice summer at home with the girls though!!!!!

We were gone during Father's Day! What a way to spend Father's Day...on the beach, relaxing! Happy Father's Day to the BEST DADDY! We really appreciate all you do for us and how much you love us!

Look at our sand castle!

Lydia loves playing in the sand. She doesn't really enjoy the ocean water. I think there are too many unknowns in the water for her. I can sympathize with her. I kind of feel the same way!

As much as they pick on one another, they wouldn't know what to do without each other! I love this picture! :)

We caught lots of sand crabs one night. Lydia caugt the most and Layton caught the biggest. Poor Lydia woke up screaming about 2am that night because she was having a nightmare about crabs crawling on her!

We rented a car for a few days so that we could get out and explore. One day we went to this restaurant called McQuire's. It is famous for people putting $1 bills on the walls. Everywhere you looked, you seen dollars, it was crazy. The staff said there was a million and a half dollars on the walls. Of course, we added one too!

The was the kid's cheeseburger!

We had a wonderful vacation and I loved being in the RV. It was kind of cool being with our own things. And of course it's always nice to go to the beach.
